Taller EU-LAC HEALTH / 22-24 de Octubre

La Directora Nacional de Relaciones Internacionales del Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación Productiva, Ing. Águeda Menvielle, inauguró el lunes el taller EU-LAC Health, un proyecto conjunto con la Unión Europea para la cooperación en investigación en salud. “El trabajo de estas dos jornadas es fundamental, pues se intentará construir posibles escenarios frente a los retos del futuro en la investigación en salud a través de la colaboración entre América Latina, el Caribe y la Unión Europea. La cooperación internacional es una herramienta central para promover el desarrollo científico”, remarcó Menvielle.

El embajador de la Unión Europea, Alfonso Díez Torres, destacó en primer lugar la “excelente relación entre la UE y el Ministerio de Ciencia” y resaltó que “a pesar de la crisis y los recortes en Europa, la estrategia de crecimiento tiene el foco puesto en la investigación y la innovación, fundamentales para defender el modelo social y núcleo del plan Europa 2020, con un crecimiento inteligente y sostenible”. El embajador señaló que el presupuesto en investigación más desarrollo (I+D) de la UE “crecerá al 3 % del total, a pesar de la necesidad de la consolidación presupuestaria”.
